(KSL News) Today the preliminary hearing for a man charged with crashing into a family and killing three of them is set to begin.

Carlos Prieto is charged with automobile homicide for killing three members of the Ceran family in a car crash last Christmas Eve. He told police he'd been drinking.

Prosecutors say he ran a red light and hit the Ceran family's car, killing the mother and two children.
