(KSL News) A man who pleaded guilty to his daughter's murder wants to appeal his sentence.

Ryan Andrews confessed in December that he and his wife beat his daughter Shelby to death. A judge sentenced Andrews to 15 years to life in prison and recommended he never be paroled.

But Andrews recently sent a hand-written notice of appeal to the Utah State Prison.

It's unclear what his legal arguments will be.
