SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A lawsuit has been filed against a Salt Lake City dance club after a man claims he was injured during a fight with a bouncer.

The alleged incident happened two years ago at the private dance club Vortex.

In the lawsuit, the man claims he was a business invitee at the club when he was allegedly attacked by the bouncer. He says he was beaten to the point of unconsciousness back in February 2005.

The lawsuit says the bouncer acted in a negligent and reckless manner, causing the man permanent injuries. The man says he's disabled because of the attack and can no longer work.

The lawsuit is seeking a reimbursement of his medical expenses, which total more than $20,000.
