(KSL News) -- People showed up at the Night out Against Crime event in Holladay.
It's an opportunity for citizens to see all the stuff the Salt Lake County Sheriff's office has to help fight crime.
Items on display included patrol cars.. new motorcycles.. pepper ball system and members of the search and rescue team.
Sgt. Darren Carr, Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office: "I THINK IT'S IMPORTANT... POSITIVE CONTACT WITH POLICE.. SHERIFFS... DOING MORE THAN JUST WRITING TICKETS."
Events like this were held in several communities last night as part of a nationwide Night Out Against Crime.
