(KSL News) -- The Health Department temporarily closed a house in Magna today after Animal Services found about four dozen pets inside.
Animal Services responded to a house at 2993 S. 8900 West, Magna after a neighbor complained of a strong smell coming from the home. Inside they discovered about 14 dogs, 25 cats, four turtles, an iguana, some parakeets, a pigeon and some hamsters.
They also discovered four children were living inside with the animals.
The Health Department says the occupants must clean the house and correct all health violations before they'll be allowed to reside in the home again.
All but two dogs and four cats were taken to the animal shelter.
