SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Utah's Hogle Zoo expects to reach the one million visitor mark by the end of 2009.
The zoo has never had attendance hit one million in its 78-year history. Last year the Salt Lake City zoo came close, hitting 996,070 visitors.
Hogle Zoo says it has several prizes for the one-millionth visitor, including a 10-year Hogle Zoo family membership, a $500 shopping spree in the zoo's Wild Zootique and a weekend getaway in Park City.
