Sandra Yi ReportingA fast moving fire chased some homeowners out of their homes near the town of Elk Ridge. Utah county sheriff's dispatchers also evacuated some golfers from the Gladstan golf course.

The fire is mostly out now and crews are looking for hot spots to make sure it doesn’t start up again.
The fire started just before one o'clock this afternoon on private land. The fire wasn’t very big, but it did come dangerously close to homes in Elk Ridge – just 75 feet from one home and 200 yards from another. A quick response kept the fire from growing and threatening more homes.
Investigators are currently looking to find the cause.
