(Riverton-AP) -- Salt Lake County deputies have arrested a woman who used a bogus story about an ailing relative to get charity money from Riverton residents.

Twenty-year-old Carollee Dawn Miller is alleged to have taken a total of about five-thousand dollars from 100 people since June.

Miller reportedly went door-to-door, saying she was raising money for a family member who needed surgery.

Sheriff's detectives think she was really using the money to buy drugs.
