(KSL News) -- A man wanted for kidnapping a Sandy woman over the weekend has been captured in Salt Lake City.

Overnight officials received a tip that they could find Robert Gurule sleeping in a van near 1620 East 3300 South.

He was taken into custody shortly after 2am -- along with a female wanted on other charges. Drug paraphenalia was also found with the pair.

Gurule was wanted for stealing gas from a Sandy service station and then kidnapping a young woman and forcing her to help him get away. The young woman was then released.

Gurule is now in the custody of Sandy City police.
