(KSL News) -- Despite this weekend's forecasted rain, the drought is having a significant impact on our lakes.
Today Utah Parks and Recreation announced the closing of the South Marina at Willard Bay due to low water. This closure will be in effect until April 1 of next year or until there is sufficient water to launch a boat.
And boaters are warned they'll be on their own at Utah Lake. The low water level there has forced patrol and rescue boats out of the water.
