(Salt Lake City-AP) -- The filing period to run for Salt Lake City mayor closed at five Friday evening.
Mayor Rocky Anderson, former state lawmaker Frank Pignanelli and businessman Molonai Hola all filed well in advance of the deadline.
Two others filed today: Lawrence Rey Topham and businessman Frank Irish.
Former second District Congressman Merrill Cook, who had in recent weeks hinted he might run, didn't file.
