WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (AP) -- A United Parcel Service worker was killed Tuesday morning at a suburban Salt Lake City plant.
Mark Hills, 33, was unloading boxes when one of them fell from the conveyor belt this morning, UPS spokesman Steve Goodrich said. The part-time manager went to retrieve the box and apparently came in contact with an electrical source, Goodrich said.
Co-workers heard him yell for help and when they rushed to see what happened he was going into seizures. Hills was in full cardiac arrest by the time the fire department got there. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Goodrich said the area where the accident happened was shut down and officials were working with investigators to find the cause.
