SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A House committee has passed a bill that would create a reporting system to address bullying in schools.

House Bill 186 --- sponsored by Representative Carol Spackman of Holladay --- calls for the state Office of Education to create a standardized report form that schools would have to fill out describing bullying incidents and how they were dealt with.

Schools would then use the forms when considering suspension or other consequences for bullying behavior.

The measure now heads to the full House for debate.
