Samantha Hayes reporting After 18 months of work, the opening of the Olympic Cauldron Park is just two days away.
The Olympic Cauldron, which stands at the center of the park, will be lit before the ribbon cutting. It will burn until Saturday night.
The Olympic Cauldron will be a main attraction, like the Hoberman Arch. Now you can get up close and get a really good look at it.
Inside the Visitors Center is a gallery of pictures of the athletes and scenes from the Games. An interactive theatre plays a continuous 10 mintue film that captures the h ighlights.
On the walk from the Visitors Center to the Hoberman arch are the familiar branding photos which were on the city scape. There are 17 pictures, one for each day of the game, with a summary on the back.
