(KSL News) Crews have contained a fire burning in Emigration Canyon and opened the roads, allowing residents back to their homes.
The blaze broke out about 2:00 Sunday afternoon, about a half mile up the canyon. Investigators say it was caused by car exhaust.
Witnesses say passerbys tried putting it out, but with no luck.
Crews fought the blaze from the ground and from the air. Fortunately, winds blew the flames to the west and away from any homes or structures in the area.
