(Salt Lake City-AP) -- The 20 dollar bill is getting a makeover. Pretty soon, you'll see these crisp new bills in circulation in Utah.
The 20s will be donning new colors of subtle blue, green, peach and yellow tones.
It's the first time since the 1860s that the bills were anything other than the traditional green and black.
But the bills will be on the same paper with the same design.
The 20s will make their first appearance at Utah banks, credit unions and Savings and Loans Utah October ninth.
It should take a couple of days or weeks to work into general circulation.
But the new 20s will make up half the circulation of twenties within 18 months. The old 20s are no longer being produced.
