(Salt Lake City-AP) -- The man who was killed by lightning while removing his boat from the water at Strawberry Reservoir is identified as 64-year old James Washburn.
Officers say the Sandy man was in the Soldier Creek campground area Wednesday when he was removing the boat from the water and loading it onto a trailer when a storm moved in.
Lightning struck and killed Washburn.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The National Weather Service reported about 85 lightning strikes within a 15-mile radius of the reservoir when Washburn was struck between five and six p-m.
Washburn is the fourth person to die from a lightning strike in Utah this year.
