(KSL News) -- Authorities have arrested a former Utah resident who is currently a member of the Tongan Parliament.
Etuate Lavu was arrested for investigation into forgery of birth certificates and other documents that would aid immigrants in establishing US citizenship.
The man's brother, who served jail time for forgery himself, said the allegations were false and that authorities had confused the brothers.
Lavu is a former resident of Orem. He moved to Tonga five years ago.
