(KSL News) -- A 35-year old man is facing a homicide charge this afternoon for the death of his seven month old baby. Christopher Kale is accused of giving the child head injuries that led to it's death.

Court documents say on July 5th a neighbor heard Kale yelling obscenities at the baby, and that the infant suddenly stopped crying.
Kale reportedly says he left the baby on the deck to take a nap, and when he came back the child wasn't breathing.
Responding police officers say the baby had bruises, burns and lacerations
