(KSL News) -- Good news for a Bountiful man- the attachment for his prostethic arm has been mysteriously returned.

Ross Burningham says his truck was broken into several weeks ago and that's when he noticed the mechanism was no longer in the glove box- where he last left it. He's been relying on a back up attachment and says he must have the device to do daily tasks and work as an electrician. The attatchment costs 47 hundred dollars, and Burningham said he didn't have the money to replace it, and was expecting to wait 2 years for Medicaid to supply him with another.

The story generated a lot of support from the community-

Saturday, Burningham's daughter made a very important discovery as she checked the mail.

She found his prosthesis attachment, next to a tree in the yard.

Burningham believes the person who stole it decided to return it, after Eyewitness News reported what it was.
