(KSL News) A southbound train sparked a series of small fires Friday night in Box Elder County.
The fires, about 20 to 30 of them, were spread along a line from Perry south to Willard.
Flames crept up to the Interstate. Because of the thick smoke, and in order to protect the fire crews, police shut down the northbound lanes of I-15 for about two hours.
All fires have been extinguished and the interstate is now open.
