(KSL News) Two men accused of robbing several fast food restaurants in the Taylorsville area are sitting in jail this morning.
Investigators say a 17- year old came to the Burger King at 4700 S. 3940 West just after midnight Saturday and pulled a gun on employees, and demanded money.
Then police say 29-year old Rontonio Williams was waiting outside in a car. Officers arrived just as the two took off, and chased them down Bangerter Highway.
Officials say, "At one point, the passenger who was also the one who did the robbery, leaned out the window with a firearm and pointed it at the deputies that were pursuing him."
Police say the teen pointed the gun when officers stopped the car, but never fired.
One of the officers did shoot but nobody was injured.
Investigators believe the pair is responsible for robberies at two McDonalds, a Carl's Junior, and a Burger King over the past two weeks.
