(KSL News) -- An Orem man is recovering from being attacked by his girlfriend, he says, who repeatedly hit him with a hatchet while he was asleep.
Police say 43-year old Jodie Smith was arrested on charges of aggravated assault. She's accused of using the blunt edge of a rusty hatchet and hitting her live-in boyfriend numerous times.
The victim says his hands and feet had been tied.
The two apparently had been involved in some kind of dispute earlier in the evening.
