BEAVER, Utah (AP) -- A 74-year-old California hunter missing in the Beaver Mountains of southwestern Utah since Saturday was found Tuesday afternoon.

Rudy Lopez Sr. was found by Forest Service crew members after a Civil Air Patrol plane spotted an orange vest hanging in a tree on the ridge of Baker Canyon, the Beaver County sheriff's office said.

Lopez was taken by helicopter to Beaver Valley Hospital. He was dehydrated and disoriented but in good spirits, the sheriff's office said.

Lopez had become separated from his family Saturday while hunting. The search began Saturday night.
