(KSL News) It's not scheduled to start for another week, but the "Olympic bribery" trial is already heating up.

Federal prosecutors are responding to defense motions seeking to limit the evidence that can be presented at the trial.

The government wants to use an ethics report that laid out the scandal before the Salt Lake Organizing Committee and served as a template for the federal prosecution.

But the defense wants to strike the evidence as "hearsay."

A judge will rule on the issue before jury selection starts.
