(KSL News) Salt Lake City Police are asking for your help to solve a case.

Around 7:00 last night, police were called out to Mama's Southern Plantation Restaurant on West Temple after a man who had been injured walked into the restaurant and collapsed.

Sgt. Chris Larsen/ Salt Lake Police Department: "The victim had come into the restaurant, asked for help, was bleeding. They called the police and fire departments. The fire department got here. They worked on him and he passed away."

Now police say the man was working on a home across the street from the restaurant. And that's where they believe he was injured. But they do not know how the man got hurt-- if he was shot, or stabbed.

Right now they are looking for any clues, and are going through the man's van.

So far no one has reported seeing or hearing anything in the area. If you have any information, please contact police.
