(Mapleton-AP) -- The man suspected of kidnapping a five-year old Mapleton boy may have targeted another boy in the same area last year.
A tv station reports that Robert Kartchner could face attempted murder charges in an incident that happened in August 2002.
Detectives say 15-year old Spencer Bradford told them he was walking home from piano lessons on a Mapleton road when a car started to follow him. He said the car passed him several times, then turned around and came right at him.
The car reportedly hit him in the knees, knocking the boy down. He got a look at his car and license plate while driving off.
Bradford I-D'd Kartchner after seeing him on the news for the kidnapping of another Mapleton boy earlier this month. Kartchner is also facing charges in two other cases in Provo.
