Susan Wood reportingA robber entered the bank at 455 E. South Temple just after 9:00 this morning, demanded money from a teller, and placed a package on the counter.

He told the teller there was a bomb inside, then he left.

When police arrived, they evacuated the building, including a women's medical clinic in the building right above the bank.

"One of the cops said to evacuate, we have a bomb threat, get out as soon as we could."

"We grabbed everything we could and just ran out of the building to be safe."

"It is Halloween and we wanted to make sure everyone knew we were serious about what was going on."

It took hours of very careful work to remove the package.

The robber is described as a white man in his 50's or 60's, about five foot eight and thin. He was wearing a blue parka with a hood, a yellow baseball cap, gray sweat pants, and white socks and sneakers.
