(Salt Lake City-AP) -- Utah Power is still working to get power restored to customers who were hit hard by the first snowfall.
More than 12-thousand customers were without power last night. Utah Power spokesman Kimball Hansen says about 140 customers were still without power tonight, but the company hoped to have it restored soon.
Hansen says as many as 25-thousand customers may have been affected, but some may have only lost power for a few minutes.
The outages are caused when snow covered tree branches fall on power lines and knock out transformers.
