(KSL News) West Valley police end a crime spree after a man barges into a West Jordan home.

The suspect was driving in a red car when the vehicle slid off the road and rolled over.

When police responded to the crash at about 9 o'clock, they discovered the car was stolen and the driver's description matched that of a suspect in two armed robberies reported earlier in the night at drive-thru restaurants in West Valley.

Sgt. John Pearce/ West Valley Police Department: "The subject just fled the scene of the robberies and ended up crashing here. He then ran into the neighborhoods and entered a home."

Police do not know if the home was unlocked but they do say the homeowner was unwilling to cooperate with the suspect.

In fact, the homeowner ran out of the house, and flagged down police who were already in the area looking for the man.

They say he was not armed when he entered the home, but a gun was found in the car.

The suspect was taken into custody. No one was hurt during the incident.
