SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Don't go looking for public transportation on Thanksgiving.

The Utah Transit Authority won't be running buses, TRAX or FrontRunner service on Thursday.

Regular weekday service resumes on Friday.

UTA officials are encouraging the public to avoid traffic and parking congestion by taking public transportation for shopping and holiday activities.
