(KSL News) – Utah’s votes seem to be keeping Utah's rising superstar in the competition. JoDee Stott, a working mother from Ogden, showed off her talent again today in the Today Show singing competition. And her performance got her the kudos of another Utah music star.
She rocked the crowd and sang her heart out with the Aretha Franklin hit "Natural Woman." She seemed to catch the eye of fellow Utahn Donny Osmond who was on the Today Show as a Superstar commentator.
Donny Osmond, Entertainer: "That just goes to prove that people in Utah got soul! (cheers) I loved it. I loved the little growl in there. Ya did a very, very good job."
JoDee is now practicing her next song clip, “Open Arms” by Journey, which she hopes to perform Monday.
JoDee visited KSL’s studios earlier this week to talk about her new jet-set life, the competition and her passion for singing. And we'll see a bit more of her when she joins Eyewitness News Daybreak Friday morning at about 6:30 a.m.
Remember it's voting by viewers that propels the Superstar contestants forward. You can vote your favorite today, and tomorrow until 4:00.
