(KSL News) -- The world's largest children's Christmas charity project is underway. All this week, Operation Christmas Child collects shoe boxes filled with candy, toys and school supplies for needy children around the world.

Local organizers hope to gather ten thousand boxes in part of an effort that reaches an estimated seven million needy children worldwide.
If you would like to donate, bring your filled shoebox to Calvary Chapel of Salt Lake at 460 W. Century Dr. (4350 S.).
