(KSL News) -- A high school senior from Rowland-Hall St. Marks is headlining a prominent teen magazine. 17-year old Susan Sparrow was named one of Your Magazine's "20 Coolest Girls in America" because of her civic activism.
Sparrow made local headlines in February for her lobbying efforts during the legislative session.
She and her classmates used pins, sashes, fact sheets, cookies, and personal persuasion in behalf of House Bill 81.
Her efforts paid off. The governor signed the bill authorizing a study of pay inequities between men and women.
