(KSL News) A Salt Lake City man is hospitalized this morning after a get together with friends turns violent.
Police were called out to the Lorne Boone apartments at 320 E. 100 South around 10:30 last night, when they got a call about a fight at one of the apartment units.

Lt. Jim Coleman/ Salt Lake City Police Dept.: "As we arrived, we discovered a male lying out front of the apartment building. Checked him out and he had some sort of wound to his upper chest. It could be a gun shot wound. It looks more likely now that it's a stab wound."
The man was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Police followed a trail of blood to a unit inside the building. And after talking to witnesses inside, one man was taken into custody.
Police say several people were treated for minor injuries resulting from the fight.

Right now, police are trying to figure out whether the victim was stabbed or shot, so that they can proceed with their investigation.
