(St. George-AP) -- A California teen is in trouble with the law after police found almost 100 pounds of marijuana in his car.
The driver was arrested after a Washington County Deputy Sheriff made the discovery this week on Interstate 15 near the Utah-Arizona border.
Deputy Matt Stoker says there was an overwhelming smell of perfume and air fresheners coming from inside the car when he made a routine traffic stop.
Stoker says the nervous driver -- an 18-year-old California man -- agreed to have his car searched. And that's when Stoker says he found 29 packages of pot hidden in the trunk.
The teen was taken to the Purgatory Correctional Facility.
