(Salt Lake City-AP) -- Two accidents leave one dead and seven injured on Thanksgiving Day.
In Lehi, a woman was sitting in the back seat of a car when a truck rammed into the back of the car and killed her. The impact forced the car into another car. Moments later, another car hit the truck from behind.
Five people were injured in all four cars involved. Police say heavy fog made visibility less than 50-yards and that may have been a factor.
In Layton, a van sideswiped a truck near Hill Air Force Base and pushed the truck onto its side.
Both drivers had to be extricated. They were both wearing seat belts, and were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
