(Logan-AP) -- In Logan, things are happening in threes.
Logan police say there were three stolen cars in as many weeks and two of them were stolen right out of their garages. In both cases, the garage was unlocked and the keys were in the cars. Police believe those thefts are related.
But Logan police also say 26-cars have been burglarized over the past three weeks and most of those were left unlocked.
The thieves are taking C-Ds, car stereos and any money in the cars.
Police aren't sure if the burglaries are related.
But the department says it's bumping up nighttime patrols and urging residents to lock their vehicles and homes to help combat the problem.
They also recommend people keep valuables in their homes and out of plain sight.
