(KSL News) -- Utah's latest numbers on flu cases are out today.
There are over one-thousand confirmed cases of the flu in Utah this season. That means they have been identified in laboratory tests. 116 news cases were confirmed this week.
Health officials say there are also many cases of flu-like illnesses that are contributing to wide-spread absences from work and school.
Nationally, eleven people have died from the flu.
