(St. George-AP) -- A fire at a St. George apartment complex caused about 30-thousand dollars worth of damage.
The fire broke out yesterday in a storage closet on the landing of an apartment on the third floor of the Avalon Apartments.
Tenants in that apartment along with residents in 11 other apartments were evacuated.
Everyone was allowed back into their apartments Sunday except for the family of the apartment where the fire started. The Red Cross was on hand to assist them.
Several other apartments received minimal smoke and water damage.
No one was injured.
Six engines and 43 firefighters responded to the fire. There's no word yet on what caused the blaze. Fire officials are investigating.
