(KSL News) -- Utah will elect a new governor next year, and today a second candidate got into the race.
Marty Stephens, (R) Candidate for Governor of Utah: "That's why I'm here today, to officially announce my candidacy to become the next governor of the state of Utah, in 2004."
That's Utah House Speaker Marty Stephens. He has been planning to get into the race for several months, and made it official today in his hometown of Farr West in Weber County.
He's been a lawmaker for 15-years and says his main campaign issues are education, economic development and government efficiency.
