(KSL News) – A group we've never heard of is still hoping a few reminders of the past year will lift your spirits.
Today the Secret Society of Happy People released their top-ten list of happy moments in 2003.
Some of those on the list include the rescue of kidnap victim Elizabeth Smart and her safe return back home.
American Idol contestants Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken prove talent ..can.. win out over image.
And the fab five from "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy" encourage heterosexual men to look their best, live in style and develop a little culture.
Topping the list is a study on aging that shows happy people live longer. Also on the feel-good list is the story of a Milwaukee woman who got back 30 100-dollar bills that blew out of her purse, and the Iranian women's rights campaigner who won the Nobel Peace Prize.
The bonus global moment of the year was the capture of Iraq's ousted dictator, Saddam Hussein.
