(Orem-AP) -- A happy ending to a nine-one-one call from a seven-year-old boy.
The little boy called police when he was home alone and frightened Tuesday morning.
He said it was time to go to school and his mother wasn't there to take him yet.
An officer arrived and the little boy told him he wished his home was cleaner so Santa could come over. He told the officer that Santa forgot about him last year.
Orem police referred the case to the Division of Child and Family Services. Now, the elves at D-C-F-S say they guarantee Santa won't miss his house this year.
The little boy's mother says there was a mix-up between her and her husband about who would take the boy to school.
The D-C-F-S will follow up with the family, but the boy will remain at home.
