(Salt Lake City-AP) -- The number of flu cases reported in Utah has jumped by more than a thousand and there's one more reported flu-related death.
The tally of reported influenza cases is now 43-hundred-53 in 21 Utah counties.
That's up from 32-hundred-52 reported cases earlier this week.
And the health department says a patient under the age of 17 has died from a flu-related illness, bringing the death toll up to four.
Two of the deaths were elderly people and the other was confirmed as an adult over the age of 17.
Epidemiologists say 151 of those reported with the flu have been hospitalized.
