(Salt Lake City-AP) -- Skiers can't get up to the resorts in Little Cottonwood Canyon, but the ones who are there can't get down either.

That's because the snow storm closed down the entry way to the canyon. But that's good news for skiers at the Snowbird Resort. Supervisor Tandy Jensen says they gave the people stuck on the mountain free lift passes, something they don't usually do.
Jensen says the resort's gotten at least 32 inches of snow from this storm. The Sandy resident says she was stuck at the resort last night and will be again tonight.
But in Alta, a woman who answered the phone there says the resort couldn't open for the day. She says they do hope to open tomorrow.
