RICHFIELD, Utah (AP) -- Detectives are trying to figure out this morning whose responsible for breaking into the DMV in Richfield.

Police say a small black safe --- containing petty cash --- was stolen from the Utah Division of Motor Vehicles yesterday during a break-in.

Detectives say at least one person shattered a glass door outside the building using a heavy tool or crowbar. Inside the building, seven other doors were broken.

Authorities say about $400 in petty cash was taken. However, it does not appear anything else was stolen.

Detectives are currently reviewing surveillance video in an effort to identify those responsible for the break-in.
