(KSL News) Fred Meyer stores are asking customers to return recalled ground beef. The beef may have been exposed to mad cow disease.
Fred Meyer is asking 75 stores in Oregon, southern Washington, Idaho and Utah, to return the product for full refunds.
The product recalled is Interstate Meat ground beef patties with a sell date of December 25th, 2003.
Only a small number of patties were subject to this recall, but Fred Meyer says it is expanding the recall as a precaution.
