(West Valley City-AP) -- Two people are hospitalized with serious injuries after a pair of stabbings New Year's Day.
West Valley Police say the first stabbing was reported just after noon. The man was apparently beaten and stabbed at a different location, the dumped outside the Hexcel Corporation. An employee found the man and called for help.
The man was last reported in serious but stable condition after surgery.
A second stabbing in a domestic dispute happened just after three p.m. A woman was flown to the hospital after reportedly being stabbed in the stomach by her boyfriend at a West Valley City apartment.
The woman was in serious but stable condition. Her boyfriend was taken into police custody.
Neither of the victims' identities have been released.
