Storm Creates More Power Outages

Shelley Osterloh reporting This latest storm created more power outages and fender benders.

Last night storm brought more heavy snow for weakened branches, and the strong gusty wind contributed to the problems.

At one point, 10,000 were without power this morning. But now, Utah Power reports just 300. Thats in about 150 different locations. Utah Power hopes to have everybody back on by tomorrow morning.

And for more many of us, it was another day of moving snow. That's right, more shoveling, and scraping cars. Or maybe just pulling out the unicyle with snowtires.

Snow clearing crews remind us to get cars off the street so snowplows can clear them... and while you are shoveling, dig out fire hydrants.

Most people, while inconvenienced by the snow, are grateful for the drought relief.

Tree-trimming crews are busy, cutting away dangerous limbs that are hanging low with heavy snow.

About a dozen snowplows cleared the runways at Salt Lake International, while city plows scrape the streets....and sprinkle salt.

Roads are in pretty good condition right now.

And one great thing about a winter snow storm.... its clears the air.
