SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah (AP) -- A drug string in Saratoga Springs lands two men behind bars.
Authorities say the pair were arrested last week in connection with drug possession after police recovered methamphetamine.
On Friday, officers say a police informant arranged to buy one pound of meth from the two men --- who had agreed to meet the informant at nearby Smith's grocery store.
Officers recovered 44 grams of methamphetamine and an AK-47 rifle loaded with live rounds after searching the vehicle the men were driving.
Both men were arrested and booked into jail for investigation of several charges including possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and possession of a firearm by a restricted person.
